Seek help and be ‘Master of your Fate’.

Seek help and be ‘Master of your Fate’.

Seeking help is not a sign of weakness. This message came across ever more clearly in Prince Harry’s speech at the Invictus Games 2016.

Referring to war veterans he said, “They weren’t too tough to admit that they struggled with their mental health and they weren’t too tough to get the help they needed.”

Prince Harry hopes that, “The Invictus Games will inspire people affected by mental illness to seek help and smash the stigma around mental health issues.”

Each time I sit in my counselling practice and listen to a client’s story unfold, I think to myself, “No wonder you are struggling in this way considering what you have been through or subject to.”

I admire the courage it takes to seek help and address one’s issues.

I find it a joy using my counselling skills and experience to help clients find freedom to live their lives without the struggle.

I encourage you to seek help and be determined to live your life despite what has happened to you or what situation you find yourself in.

Be ‘Master of your fate.’  Seek Help.
